This is the farm of Jim VanVleet near Lodi. He grows organic grains on many acres. This is some of the equipment he uses, but, he says he often spends more time under his machines than in them. They all have many years on them. And he does this pretty much all on his own. It’s lonely being the only organic grower in his section of the world. We hope to use his farm as part of a grant that features rural NY. I paint and Peaches poets, riffing on the finished drawing. We’ll see what happens.
