Dygert Farm # 1

This is the first painting I’ve done of the farm where lately we get our composted manure for the gardens. Ann has a few cows hiding up in pastures. They’re very friendly as she is constantly walking among them and milking some of them. And she filled our little truck with a skidster so half the work was done. I just need to unload it back home. This was a cloudy day but lovely pastures. I hope to return when it’s sunny and get more of the history of her venture. It’s a daunting task, trying to farm with 2 little ones in tow.

This is 7″ x 10″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper.
