This is the Brookton Cemetery on Lounsberry Rd, a real beauty in my opinion. I went yesterday with my friend Ruth to do some plain air painting and with everything I brought and set up, and sthen ketched in the images, I forgot to bring paints. So today was coloring in from the live sketches. It works. 12″ x 9″ using pencil and Daniel Smith watercolors on Arches paper. This will be framed and shown at the artists Market in Ithaca on august 14.

Lovely, Tommy. I like the subject. It’s such a typical country cemetery, head stones leaning over, flags posted by veterans. I think it would look a little better if you crop the bottom inch, but you know me and my cropping suggestions! love, Sara
