I rode for over 5 hours on Sunday and explored some areas that I’ve come nearby, but never actually travelled. This is a recently harvested wheat field. The straw is there to be baled. Chicory was out everywhere. It’s a field on Halls Corners Rd. The buildings are located on Rt 96. It’s 16″ x 12″ using pencils and Daniel Smith watercolors on Arches paper. It too will be shown at the artist’s market on August 14th in Ithaca.
Chicory is my favorite shade of blue! I love that you often paint them in your landscapes.
