Road Trip 2023, Canadian Farm

It was a bright sunny morning and the tractor and cows offered a lovely silhouette. I was racing, as much as one could do so with a loaded bike, to make the ferry at Tobermory. Ontario is the bread basket of Canada. This part of the country is mostly hay and pasture lands at this time of year. So that means cattle raised for the meat market. further south near Lake Erie is more crops as it’s a milder winter down there. Such are my observations anyway from the few times I’ve crossed through Ontario. Further North it’s wood, pulp wood and lumber. Sand and gravel seem to be a big item too. This is 5.9″ x 11.8″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper. $50 unframed.
