Rio Pupusa, Ecuador

It’s snowing again here in Ithaca so i have decided to go afar for some decent weather. We lived in Ecuador for 6 years back in the 80’s and at one time I was working for the UN on a bridge building project. We visited this site where the abutments are still in place but the bridge was washed away. The truck is a typical taxi for the countryside. everything piles in the back, goods and people.

This is 10″ x 14″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper.
