I went out early to work on the mural but it was still quite wet from last nights rain here. In town we didn’t get much, a sprinkle at most. I took a photo of the chicory before it had opened up to receive the sun. Tight little dark bundles which will transform into the most beautiful blue color in another hour. This is 9″ x 12″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper.
Again, chicory front and center, reigning over the roadsides. I love this one…..even the tractor warning sign is an important part of this rural landscape. ❤️❤️❤️
