A recent bike ride to visit a friend in Dryden brought me along the western side of Dryden Lake and there was the field kissing the sky as I climbed away from the lake. I returned home via the Harford-Slaterville Rd. Once you get over that ridge there’s a lot of down hill back to Ithaca and it was appreciated on this blistering hot day. I rode for 5.5 hours that day. We’re in for a dry summer it appears…climate change. We’ve raised the thermostat and don’t have the means or will to turn it down yet. Such was Jay’s statement this morning on a maintenance walk along FLT on Connecticut Hill. This is 9″ x 12″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper.
