Because there is a long layover in Chicago waiting for the train we took a long walk. Twas the hour of sunset along Lake Michigan. Fascinating color of the buildings, the sky and clouds. And there was a Happy New Year in huge letters on one of the buildings, it being the first day of the new year.                     It’s 12″ x 9″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on paper.
