Roadside Attraction #170

This is one from a bike ride back in July. I think it’s on Rt 366 just North of Freeville, the first dairy farm on the left. Fall Creek runs behind the trees in the distance. It’s 20″ x 14′ using pencil and Daniel Smith watercolors on Waterford cotton paper. Framed…$200 it took a few days to finish and I enjoyed doing the foreground weeds.

  1. Hi Tommy – I appreciate the lovely summer weeds in the foreground a lot, and the distant cows that center the frame. The dark tree line in shadow, making a breaking point, adds drama and persepctive. I would have liked blue sky but I guess it was an overcast day. – Sara

    1. Thanks Sara. I saw you at the artists market with Jeff. Maybe I was too busy to acknowledge your presence, but you didn’t stop and give me your opinion of which one was your favorite. Ah Well, next year then.
