A scene from last week’s ride in Southwestern NY. It’s a dairy farm that has had to desist milking because it just couldn’t make any money that way any more. And this is with 170 cows! So the 4,000 milking cow dairies are the status quo at the moment. I had a long talk with the farmer and it’s a sad state when a family farm can’t compete. This is 7″ x 10″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper. If Wayne sees this and sends me his address, I’ll mail it to him. Otherwise $ 65 unframed.
Thanks Linda. There’s a sadness for sure. He was adjusting as well as he could surrounded by the large commercial type farming. Southwestern NY is quite the bread basket.
Beautiful painting, Tommy!
