This is a little beach above the official swimming area. Once again the water’s color had changed. This park is a premier spot in NY state. The swimming area has a most wonderful sandy beach. There’s trails into the woods and plenty of biting flies and gnats to greet you once there. A long accessible pier pointing out into the lake giving safe harbor to the many boats to be seen passing thru the channel thus created and finally, the lake itself. It’s huge! It could be the ocean for all one knows as you can see nothing but water to the north. It’s freshwater, no chlorine to burn your eyes. Go visit this treasure. 7″ x 10″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper. $70 unframed.
lovely summer scene – so inviting!
