Last week while riding up to Syracuse, (I keep mentioning that fact like I want to make sure everybody knows. I’m starting to get annoyed with myself), I passed this recently mowed hay field, the equipment still idling away in the field. It must be difficult to find a few dry days in a row lately to even be able to harvest. And there’s parts of the country that need rain badly.
The standing water tells the story here. I liked it’s reflecting light. It’s 9″ x 12″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper. $ 100 unframed.
