Close to Home # 76 SOLD

One more walk down at the foot of Cayuga Lake on a bright, sunny morning. Nice colors all around. You just can’t beat sunshine for bringing out the best. This is 12″ x 16″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper. $125 unframed.

  1. Very pleasing to the eye. I know this very spot and have often enjoyed this view on a sunny day. The lighthouse, sky bluer above than at the horizen, water, trees, depth and perspective, – it all works perfectly to capture the place.

    1. It’s a lovely spot especially in bright sun. When I use a bigger sheet of paper I tend to be too detailed and there is a loss of movement across the piece or so I think Dotting every leaf, every blade of grass. It’s hard to capture the fleeting light. And thanks.
