Sunday morning I went out with my friend John Suter and we hiked a section that goes from the McCormick Center down to old 76. It’s a nice section of woods and crosses a lovely creek. At the crossing there were some very sizable pine and hemlocks, this being but one of them. Walk south on Old 76 to Smith Rd. and return to your vehicle on South Rd. It’s a nice loop and the returning via unplowed roads affords one the opportunity to have a decent conversation which we certainly did. This is 8″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper.
