I borrowed my daughter’s car yesterday and drove to Syracuse. Dropped off some stuff in Cortland, then on to see a sister in Lafayette and left a little sketch for her daughter and finally to the arts store in the big city. I guess I got enough paper to last me a year. All kinds of special sizes and textures. Now every piece should be a beauty eh? And I carried my paints with me to do some sketching en route but when I drive, I drive. When I bike, I bike. I don’t seem to be able to combine 2 activities very well. Margot can talk on the phone, motion to me to do something and cook at the same time. So this is from a photo I took yesterday on my way home. We’ve been seeing clear skies for weeks and it’s nice to have clouds again especially with some blue peeking thru. It’s 9″ x 12″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper.
I see chicory…….. front and center where chicory is the lavender-blue queen of the rough roadside. ❤️❤️❤️ Oh, and a stunning cloud study! Candy Ricco 607-237-3128
