These buttes are a powerful and sacred place for the Appsaalooke. It’s also Crystal Hickman’s home and this was her request. I think I’m seeing sage in the flatland parts. I remember seeing off in the distance a purple haze when riding thru the west. It’s subtle but beautiful.   This is 6″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on paper. And it’s a gift.
