I am enrolled in a study of “The Seven Valleys”, a book written by Baha’u’llah, describing the mystical stages of a soul’s progress. It’s an interesting exercise trying to incorporate the arts with said study. Anyway, here’s an attempt to combine the two elements. I was reminded of MArk Tobey’s “White Writing” after I stumbled on this result. It’s our back yard with chicken coop/sheep pen, wood shed and barn under the first heavy snows of the season.   It’s 9″ x 12″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper.
