A beautiful Monday encouraged Dave, Steve and myself to explore the Catherine Valley trail out of Watkins Glen. This section is where it runs alongside the marinas which offer access to Seneca Lake, the deepest of the Finger lakes. We rode into the wind and on our return to the Glen we experienced a wonderful tailwind. What a joy that was. Climbed a big hill and then it was mostly downhill back to our vehicle. Such good planning, such beauty. There will be be more paintings from this Spring outing for sure. This is 20″ x 14″ using pencil, gouache and watercolor on Waterford paper. I’ve got a frame for it so we’ll see it at some market this summer.
