Roadside Attraction #139 SOLD

One more documentary piece from our Fingerlakes region. This is on Munson Rd. across the street from the Countryside Market, an Amish farm store. I hope they got the hay in before the cloudbursts later that day. it was a young man steering the horses, a teenager at most. 20″ x 14″ using pencil and watercolor on Waterford 130# cotton paper. $125 unframed but I have lots of frames so….

  1. Hi Tommy – Wow. Really complex, with sharp details both in the foreground and the background, and the horse and hay roller (?) are really interesting subjects as the focus. I really like the strong visual effect of the furrow rows too. I’m not tempted to crop this one at all – you’ve filled the whole space. I’m amazed at the difference between this painting and ones that you painted years ago.
