Roadside Attraction #118

I biked to Lafayette last week and visited my sister and family there. Headwinds all the way. Returning home next day , once again, headwinds, but it was sunny and this was one of the sites found on Rt 281 North of Homer. The old truck proved irresistible. The whole valley along the route 81 corridor is quite beautiful. Lots of farms and a huge dairy operation on the Eastern side of the valley. 16″ x 12″ using pencil, gouache and watercolor on Arches 140# paper.

  1. Hi Tommy – Really like the clouds, especially the white fluffy one in the middle, and the shadow on the house, and the blue barn- very unusual to see a blue barn. And the vehicles next to the house too. – Sara

    1. Thanks Sara. I thought it came out well. I especially like the old truck. I think I nailed the sunlight on that thing.
