I rode in the rain all morning on The Aids Ride for Life and I’ve been documenting this particular tree every year. It’s was struck by lightning years ago and has struggled since. The left half of the tree has dropped off and what’s left leaf wise looks like it’s on its last legs…all brown this day. Alfalfa was planted in the fields this year. It was corn and soybeans for the past few times I passed thru. This was a tough morning going around the lake but I did manage to pull it off without getting hypothermia. Just kept moving was key. I want to thanks all those who donated once again to this worthy cause. Someday we won’t need to have fundraisers and bake sales to raise money for charitable efforts. We will just be taking care of each and every one of us like a decent family would do. It’ll happen, yes it will. This is 8″ x 8″ using pencil, pen and watercolor on cotton paper. $50 unframed.
