Fischer Old Growth Preserve

On Sunday I revisited this old growth forest section not far from home…between Ithaca and Newfield. It’s a wonder. it’s just different from any of the other forests around here, untouched. here’s a little sketch of where the creek empties into the marshy area in the valley below. It’s 8″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper. $65 unframed

  1. Very nice painting, Tommy. Love the shades of blue in the skys, trees and shadows, all give the feeling of “pristine” that you described. – Sara
