Erie Canal Trail #3

Once again I rode home from Rochester last Sunday, slept under a roof in Macedon park and starting out early Monday morning, this was the greeting from sunrise. This part of the canal is like a small lake…it’s quite wide right here. I passed the spot where I took a fall last October and could plainly see why I fell. So no more riding at night for good while. It poured and thundered on Sunday night but the structure did its job. I was warm and dry come morning. A slight drizzle most of the morning kept things cool and a tailwind later in the day was most welcome. 8 hours in the saddle and I did maybe 80 plus miles on Monday, 23 on Sunday afternoon. A couple of friends are contemplating riding from Buffalo to Ithaca this fall along the canal as much as possible. That will be fun. Maybe the Rochester friends will join us as we make our way thru your area? This is 12″ x 9″ using pencil, pen and watercolor on cotton paper. $75 unframed.
