This must be the 10th time I paint this particular scene at the top of Straights Corners Rd. The wildflowers are out in force these days and the fields with twin trees behind them hold a great allure for me. Big gray skies but this time I went for the foreground. I was riding with Dave I on this particular favorite route. We are readying ourselves for the Aides Ride around Cayuga Lake on the 7th of September. We’ll be set I think. My guess is we got between 60 and 70 miles last monday. This one is 12″ x 16″ using pencil, watercolor and a touch of gouache on cotton paper. $85 unframed.
