East Side of Owasco Lake

I biked around Owasco Lake in October and this was one of many captivating views from the eastern ridge. It was a gorgeous day and those cloud formations, altocumulus castellanos I believe, were stupendous. I have this cloud chart that Peaches gifted me above my drawing table and I think these resemble the castellanos the most. It’s a beautiful world surrounding us. And what do we do with it? We surround ourselves with such ugliness. Ugly buildings, signs, poisoned waters and skies and then, if that wasn’t enough, let’s top it off with some wars, fill in the spaces with dead bodies. What a species we are! This is pencil, pen and watercolor on cotton paper and is “14 x 20”. $125 unframed
