Yesterday I went biking and this is one of the many Roadside Attractions I came upon. Some of the maples are a little stressed and they begin to turn color earlier than most others. But we had a slight frost last night or almost a frost so it might all begin in earnest now. Hawk weed, jewel weed and chicory are abundant too.

This little gem is 6″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on paper.
