I had to go to JFK airport to pick up family and took some back roads to get there. This bridge is a wonder to me…all wood, 174′ long spanning the East Branch of the Delaware River at Downsville. It’s been there many years, since 1854 to be exact, and still cars can use it, it’s that strong. I crossed a second one at Livingston Manor and looked for a third on Beaver Kill. That’s one that I’d like to bike into. Narrow, slightly used road following the creek, winding all over thru the wooded hills. It was a beautiful drive. This one is 9″ x 12″ using pencil and watercolor on cotton paper. $85 unframed.
