Fingerlakes Trail # 55

Another walk on the FLT brought me to a stand of some of the biggest cherry trees I’ve encountered in our forests. They’re at the edge of a field and then looking closer, I see them scattered through out the woods too. This is at the top of the hill where the trail crosses South Rd. near the McCormack Center. there’s a disease killing off cherry trees but here they seem to be thriving. It’s a small one, 6″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper. $45 unframed.
