Maggie and the dogs and I walked the Interloken Trail not long ago and the fields are rented out to farming operations, basically for grazing. Here’s one herd that we passed with the herd taking some shade. One never knows just how wild these animals are as they spend most of their lives away from human contact, at least during the grazing times. Winter they’ll go near some farm I assume where it’s easier to bring them hay and provide water. I see a bull in the different herds and it keeps one in suspense as you cross the open fields. This is 6″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper. $65 unframed.
