Fingerlakes Trail # 33

Just along side the FLT they’re doing what they call forest management …managing wildlife habitat…making fields. I guess I’d call it cutting trees but what do I know? This was a section up on Connecticut Hill that I always loved to hike and most of it is still quite pretty. The equipment used is tremendous…huge skidders. And they’re making mulch out of the tops and making pathways into this area. Wide pathways. We’ll see how it develops. It’s a small 6″ x 8″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on paper.
