Storm Threatening

IMG_3986.jpg

This is something I’ve wanted to revisit for some time. I visited a N. Carolina beach with my sisters a few years ago and got some nice seascapes from it. One day a storm blew in and pounded the area with rain and wind. A big sandbar separated us from the ocean and flooding, unlike other buildings that were exposed to the rising seas. I painted it then and here’s another crack at it just bigger.        It’s 5.9″ x 11.8″ using watercolor on cotton paper.
