A few years ago the city planted these flowering crab apple trees along our local state road. they’re especially pretty come Spring but they’re not too shabby right now either. It’s another gray day here and these really jump out at you especially as you have to duck under them along the sidewalk. Is this what the cardinals eat to maintain their brilliant color?    It’s 9″ x 12″ using watercolor and gouache on cotton paper.
