On this day I had crossed Lake Michigan and was making my way across Wisconsin trying hard to dodge bigger roads. I did a good job of that and ended up on many gravel roads, this being one of them. Obviously there were few to no services where I rode but every time I needed something a local resident would appear. I was running out of water and here comes a guy to check his mail. I asked for help and he filled up every bottle I had. Phone doesn’t work, need directions, someone would pull up to the stop sign or be out on their lawn etc. And so the day progressed.
About the painting…I love it when the sky touches the earth. It reminds me to walk with my head in the clouds but feet on the ground, a spiritual path with practical feet. It’s 9″ x 12″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on cotton paper. $175 if it’s framed
