When you leave Sisseton, S. Dakota just a few miles to the west is this tremendously tall tower. The views of the prairie from up there are expansive. Mind you, there’s not much to block the view to begin with except the curvature of the earth. Eastern Dakota has a lot of kettle lakes and that’s where you find trees surrounding them, there, creeks and people’s homesteads where trees are used to try to block some of the winds that sweep across the land. This day I was lucky yet again as the wind was favorable for much of the day. It’s 9″ x 12″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache and $ 175 if we frame it.
