New Years Eve day and it’s plenty cold out here. 0 degrees in Ithaca so I don’t know what it might be out here in the woods. Sun is almost shining though, making some shadow. This section follows the outlet of Cayuta Lake and I’m soon heading uphill, bushwhacking to do a little exploring. Saw lots of relatively large cat tracks deep in the woods and 3 little junkos marked my passing. How do these tiny birds manage in such cold weather? This one is 9″ x 12″ using pencil, watercolor and gouache on paper. $ 175 framed.
