Vermillion River

IMG_2074.jpg

Roaring down a steep hill I cross Vermillion Creek in Montana and can’t believe the color of the water. It was a cool, wet day riding on Vermillion Creek and Blue Slide Roads. I was told that the Grand Canyon has the same color water in places and that it’s caused by mineral deposits upstream under the snowcaps. I didn’t stop here as I was keeping my speed up to climb up the other bank but took photos of the water color later when I saw it again. So this is made up and I imposed our local architecture for the bridge.                          9″ x 12″ using watercolor and pencil on paper.         $125
