This fine hen has just layed another egg in their hiding place under the solar panel array. The hens have all started to settle down around me for a few weeks now, maybe because the scratching around the yard isn’t producing as much food as they like. They’ll come running when I approach looking for something tasty. Chickens aren’t as stupid as I have thought and they are the most numerous bird on the planet. We seem to have a running battle with predators here in the city and occasionally lose a bird or 3.
