For years I go out every Sunday or at least try to do so. In warmer weather it’s on a bike and in winter on foot into the woods. Got to appreciate what been given to us regularly. Here’s a little surprise in opening days of January…..sunshine! Early morning so the shadows are long. And you know you’re on the trail when you see the white blazes on the trees. These are red pines of which you’ll find a lot around Ithaca and they seem to be susceptible to falling over in storms making some sections of trail somewhat difficult to navigate or at least difficult to stay on the actual trail.
