Here’s one of the hayfields north of the house. I liked the way the hay was cut leaving this diagonal path up the hill. Oak trees were very dramatic too.
Kevin told me that he wasn’t sure he’d gotten enough hay in for the stock this past year because it was so dry. He’s hoping he doesn’t have to buy any this winter. That would hurt an already perilous financial situation. Now for me, another visit to the hill on a warmer day when I can wander around on the land and I’ll continue onward with this series. It’s 9″ x 12″ pencil and watercolor on paper.
Purchase price is $ 125
