I visited Elliot Me. with my daughter in law last weekend and finding some time for myself tried to capture some of the charm of this fine building. It was way too cold to be outside painting. The old photo is of Abdul Baha who visited this site in 1912. And the room echoed the sepia print colors so nicely I had to try to capture it. It’s a pretty great composition too. Also this is where I met my spouse as a brand new Baha’i some 45 years ago so it’s pretty special to visit. We were both on staff that summer, Margot as a teacher and me as a custodian and groundskeeper. It’s 9″ x 12″ watercolor on paper
