This is what happens when you travel on a bike down a road that is closed. You must cross a creek  on foot but it also means you won’t meet any traffic except maybe the most local folks and road work crew. So how often do you get to watch them setting a huge culvert in place? This was our treat for following this section on Barden Rd. in the Candor area.

Long time since I include people in a painting but the colors of the shirts and equipment were too good to ignore. Documenting again.  It’s big….18″ x 24″ with pencil and watercolor on paper.
