Another stop along the bike route and while my friend John went to town to get some supplies I sketched the bridge over the canal and river. Before I could finish, a car with trailer pulled right in blocking my view. If they had gotten there earlier I would have included them but I was too far along. This was a docking area for the canal boats where they could on or offload goods. The towpath occupies a narrow strip of land between the river and canal. Enough to grow a few sturdy trees.
