On a bluff above the Potomac in a lovely oak tree filled campground. We are nearing the end of our journey and  because we hurried the first 3 days we find we have more time on our hands. We only need to cover short mileage on our bikes the next 2 days and that gives me more time to try to capture some of these breathtaking sites. This river is huge. Running low at this time of year but it must be awesome with spring freshets. Tomorrow we enter DC and head to the Amtrak station where they have a particular baggage car designed to carry bikes that you don’t have to take apart and can accommodate fully loaded with panniers…..the reason we chose to try this 350 mile trail.
